The very cute Nova Scotia town of Mahone Bay holds a very cute little pirate festival. I think it used to be a sailing regatta, but nobody showed up until they tied in the pirate theme. It's pretty underwhelming for adults, but the kids (especially Jacob), loved the whole thing.
