We're getting picked up later this morning to head to the airport to fly to Nanchang. A few hours after arrival, we're going to get Zoë.
We're into the part of our nervousness whereby Kate is mocking me for my ridiculousnesses. Apparently bringing eleven books for an 8-month old who has never heard English before is considered excessive. Apparently bringing rice cereal to China is considered funny. I just like to be prepared! And besides, Kate just announced that she's bringing tupperware to the breakfast buffet so she can load up on congee to bring with us to Nanchang in case Zoë wants some when she first arrives. So, we might both be a little tense right now.
Life at home seems to be continuing apace. The kids explained to us how they used their "wheely barrows" to gather leaves.
Will try to post photos from Nanchang asap.
