I dropped by the new house this afternoon with the kids. This video shows a) how excited everyone was to be there, b) how well Zoë is walking these days, c) that it ain't always easy having an exuberant older brother, d) what the living room and view look like, and e) that I have my Three Stooges moment walking into a closed screen door.

September trip to Thunder Bay
I'll just get these photos posted under the wire - it is still September after all.
- Nothing fascinates a 3-year old quite like a Papa hitching up a boat
- Waiting for the boat out to camp
- Exploring the well
-In toques one minute and in the water the next
- Art time. With their backs to the natural beauty, so as to focus on their craft
- Going out in the "nooo", as M&J continue to call it
- My beautiful wife and kids on a beaver dam
- Molly a little upset about tumbling off the beaver dam into the water
- Playing rake hockey with grandma on the beach
- Zoë pushing her favourite trike
- Megablocks with grandma

More Photos
I'll try to post new house photos soon, but for now...
- the whole gang in our new, 3-kid, red wagon The old green one in the background finally died after serving two sets of twins heroically.
- What happens when you constantly forget to put the lid back on the sandbox?
One mudbox, one lake, and 3 happy, soggy kids.

New House!!
Just got the call from our lawyer's office - we're the excited owners of a new house! We won't be moving for a couple more weeks as we're having some hardwood floors installed in the bedrooms and lots of painting done. We've been looking forward to this day for a couple of year's now, ever since our good friends Don and Sara agreed to sell us their house. I suspect that we'll all still be calling it Don & Sara's house for quite a long time. Kate and I have a babysitter tonight and we're heading down to the house to meet with the painter, and rip out some carpeting and generally get excited about the move.
Here are a couple of photos from Lindsey & Serge's August visit, out at the new house. Jules, looking like M&J's long-lost triplet:

Serious Catch-Up Time
Tonight's recipe (Butcher's Ragout from Food & Wine) called for a cup of wine. So I have an opened bottle and no adults in the house (Kate's at the hospital). Somehow drinking alone seems less alcoholic if I spend the time catching up on my blogging. Unfortunately the longer I go without a blog entry, the more intimidating it is to try to catch up, so I fall further behind. So here's to turning over new leaves.
These photos are all courtesy of my mom - my parents just headed home after a 5 day visit, which included Kate and I getting away to Horseshoe Valley for a night alone.
- Me and Zoë, who is now 19 months old, walking (or running) everywhere, climbing everything, going up and down stairs, bossing everyone around
- My mom and her grandkids
- When Zoë starts nursery school in February (when she turns 2), I'm guessing she's not going to have a whole lot of anxiety. Right now, I have trouble getting her out of the school at drop-off time.
- Zoë on the slide
- Here's the gang building castles together. Given Jacob's safety track record, he is now in permanent-helmet mode.

Eight Years!!
We celebrated our 8th anniversary last night. Actually if it wasn't for a phone call from my mom and a facebook message from Tiff, neither of us would even have remembered the date. Probably says where are heads are these days. Fortunately we already had a sitter booked, so we went out for a running hills workout (oh the romance) and then to the local pub for burgers, then home to watch a little tennis on tv while surfing the net for decorating ideas for the new house. We take possession at the end of the month - very excited.
