Last Night in China

We went out for dinner with our guides tonight for Peking Duck. Zoë ate an extraordinary quantity of steamed egg - clearly something I need to learn how to prepare. Tonight is our last in Beijing. Tomorrow evening we fly to Toronto - 13 hour flight!!

Oh, I keep forgetting to mention that on her 9 month "birthday", Zoë sprung her first two teeth. There has been a fair amount of drool, but no complaints.

Here's a photo of her Chinese passport, her Canadian permanent residence document (we can apply for her Canadian citizenship immediately after landing) and her adoption certificate.

Looks like you guys have had the most amazing time! Looking forward to seeing you back here and meeting Zoe! Sounds like Will has a thing or two to learn from her...first on the list: to be a good eater!!! :)
See you soon...safe trip back!

Her adoption certificate is gorgeous! I love that there is a photo of the family. Good thing the docs are fuzzy though (I know, I'm paranoid).

Wishing you a safe trip home!
Wish we could be there to greet you in person.

And for a second I thought the emotional, crazy part of the trip is over, but just think of how it will feel to introduce Zoë to Molly and Jacob.

Her "official" photos are so sweet. I love the one of the family and she looks so serious too. Obviously, she wasn't thinking about duck or ice cream sundaes or steamed egg or any food at that particular moment.

Can't wait to see you all soon. Have a smooth flight. Dashing off to get my no-longer-a-baby baby from "school".

I think you are going to have to change the name of your blog... I am not sure you have brand new twins!! And now the adoption is done! Congratulations!

Have loved all the photos. Would love to go see China!

Best Wishes and talk to you when you are back.
