The Wire

Kate and I just finished watching the 1st season of The Wire on DVD. It has to be the best "cop show" ever. So much grittier than NYPD or Hill Street Blues (both good shows in their prime). What makes it fantastic is the moral ambiguity. No good guys and bad guys. No preaching. Great, deep characters amongst both the cops and the drug-runners. I love having a new show, and now we have three more seasons to catch up on.
